63 participants from 21 different countries arrived in Thun, a little city close to Bern. After a short bus trip we arrived at our first accommodation in Schwanden, Sigriswil.

The program throughout the week was packed and diverse – it ranged from hiking in the mountains to scooter riding and a city trip to Bern with a foxtrail. Ballenberg, an open air museum showcasing traditional Swiss culture, was one of our destinations.
During a guided tour we learned a lot about Switzerland. On Wednesday we had one of the highlights – a visit to a local glutenfree bakery. Another amazing experience: visiting the “Top of Europe”, Jungfraujoch, in beautiful sunshine. The Jungfraujoch is 3471 meters high and from there we had a gorgeous view of the Swiss and French Alps.

From there we took a bus to Schaffhausen, our second accommodation. Schaffhausen is in the north east of Switzerland and the place where the Rhine Falls can be seen. Our first day there was the Swiss National Day, the first of August. After celebrations and traditional Swiss activities the participants got some time to sleep
in the next day, and visit the city. In the evening we had raclette, a traditional Swiss dish. Between all those main program points there were lots of small activities and always, always, delicious food prepared by our lovely kitchen team. All of this was possible thanks to our great sponsors, fantastic participants, and a most amazing organisation committee – thank you to all of you, and see you next year in Malta!
